ZUSHIIRI KONDOSEI JUICHIMEN KANNON BOSATSU ZO (GILT BRONZE STATUE OF ELEVEN HEADED KANNON BODHISATTVA IN BUDDHIST ALTAR)

Comments
This statue was discovered inside the stem stone of the eighth story of the Thirteen Storied Stone Pagoda. When the extensive repair was done in the Genroku era in the Edo period, it was enshrined in a Japanese-quince-shaped altar which was newly made on that occasion.
