KONDO SUISHO GORINTOGATA SHARITO (RELIQUARY OF FIVE RING TOWER TYPE, MADE OF GOLD-PLATED COOPER AND CRYSTAL)

Comments
This reliquary was discovered inside the first story of the Thirteen Storied Stone Pagoda. The portion of Suirin was made of crystal chamfered in an octagon shape, and other portions of Chirin, Karin and Furin were made of copper plates. The portion of Kurin is missing. It is thought that the reliquary was contained between the Chirin and Suirin portions. Elaborate finish of this reliquary shows that it was created in the Kamakura period.
