FUDO MYO-O ZO (STATUE OF ACALANATHA)

Comments
This statue holds a salvation rope (Kensaku) in the left hand and a sacred sword in the right hand. Two eyes are widely opened and its upper teeth are shown. Carving style of this statue is faithful to the precedents located in temples of the Shingon school. It is thought that it was created in accordance with the Kobo Daishi Shoraizu Zo.
