At the time of the large earthquake in the Keicho era, the upper three stories of the Thirteen Storied Stone Pagoda fell, and this statue was discovered together with the reliquary from the fallen stories. Made of gold-plated copper. It is a very rare example of the Silla style of Yakushi Nyorai statue. At present, it is deposited with Nara National Museum.
